InflamaTick – Laboratory for Cutaneous T cell immunity, Inflammation and Tick-borne infections

Decoding resident skin immunity in steady-state, tick-borne infections, and inflammatory skin conditions.

Our group investigates adaptive immune dysregulation at the skin-pathogen interface, dissecting mechanisms of immune memory and chronic inflammation in steady state, tick-borne infections (e.g. Lyme borreliosis) and inflammatory dermatoses (e.g. graft-versus-host disease). We integrate single-cell and spatial RNA-sequencing and bioinformatic techniques, ex vivo models and clinical cohorts to unravel disease pathomechanisms and identify novel therapeutic strategies.
