Novel High-throughput Screening Platform for Drug-Discovery
We have recently developed a high-throughput, high-content screening platform and image analysis pipeline for measuring invasive capacity of cancer cells. Utilizing this platform, we have screened a library of thousands of FDA approved drug compounds to look for potential metastasis-inhibiting drugs. Although developed for studying metastatic processes, these methodologies can be easily adapted to screening biological processes that can be visualized by diverse imaging technologies.
